I love the San Francisco Giants! :D
A birthday request from me to my Twitter followers

OMG I HAVE OVER $140. SPEECHLESS.

Thank you Neil (@sfgiantsfan021), Kevin (@KRMcGonagle), Sean (@seanyodarouse), Barbara (@BabsWorld), Ana (@abully86), Kelly (@55Franchise), Elena (@ElCap650), Ryan (@rydawg61), and Stephen (@stephenchiang)!!! asdlasjflaksdjklsadjfasldf  This at the very least guarantees me an iPod Touch, but there’s STILL more people who have told me they’ll send money! I really don’t know what to say. You guys are amazing. Thank youuu!! I love youuu!! I have GOT to do something for you guys. But, obviously, something that doesn’t require me spending money, cause that would defeat the purpose… and I want to do something special that I don’t already offer everyone else (which is hard cause I don’t think there’s much left for me to do). But don’t worry!! I’ll think of SOMETHING!

As you may already know, my iPhone was stolen from me a couple weeks ago while I was listening to music on it on the bus. It’s really unfortunate that it got stolen right before the baseball season started, because I was so excited about being able to tweet pictures of players and other cool things right from the ballpark! Now, I’m not going to be able to tweet nearly as much as I did last season because I can pretty much only tweet when I’m at home. But, during homestands, I spend so much time at the ballpark (and school) that I’m literally home for just a few hours every day to sleep, do my homework, and get my stuff ready for the next game - which doesn’t leave much time for tweeting. I also won’t be able to do my podcasts as easily without my portable iPhone and the voice memo application.

My birthday is in 2 days (March 31), and I would love to get an iPod or iPhone to replace my lost one, hint hint. :) I’m half-kidding… but I’ve actually been really surprised at the generosity of my fellow Twitter people. For example, Rose (@sfROSE74) gave me her old iPhone for free even when she knew I was about to buy one from my friend for $200, and Caleb (@calebwhang) gave me $20 for extra storage on Google Picasa so I can share my pictures from Giants games. I am so grateful to them for giving me a chance to share my Giants experiences with you all! I know I have a lot of other followers who also enjoy reading my tweets from the ballpark and hearing my stories.

So even though this feels really, really weird, I’m asking for “donations” for me to buy another iPhone. Because I’m studying abroad in Zambia this summer, I need to save up as much as possible for that trip and can’t afford to buy another iPhone myself. My friend is still willing to sell me his old iPhone for $200, and it really isn’t that much if a bunch of people chip in a little. So, if you feel so inclined, you can send me money via paypal to sfgtweetup@gmail.com. (Make sure to send it as a personal gift so there aren’t any fees.) Also, please feel free to email me at sfgtweetup@gmail.com if you have any questions. Aaghh I can’t believe I forgot to write THANK YOU SO SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!!

I do a lot of things for people that I could probably make a little money off of (i.e. giving away my extra Giants stuff like iPhone skins and posters for free), but I have decided not to charge extra because I really just like sharing my stuff with Giants fans who appreciate it. I was thinking of starting to charge money for things like that to raise money for an iPhone, but I’d really prefer to keep doing things for free and you can choose to give me money if you want or not. So if I don’t get enough money for the iPhone, I’ll just refund your money and that’ll be that. (I also saw iPod Touches on eBay for under $100, so I guess I could at least get one of those if I get enough for that.)

One more thing I forgot to mention - if you guys help me get this, I promise to ONLY use it for tweeting about baseball/taking pictures at the ballpark and NOT use it for anything else like listening to music on the bus so it won’t be as likely to get stolen again.

P.S. Just to let you know, so you don’t wonder what happened to me, I can’t tweet much for the next few days as I catch up on my homework and sleep before the baseball season starts. :)
